Manage Payment Methods

How to add and remove saved payment methods for crowdfunding donations in LFX Self Serve.

Your saved payment methods are listed at the bottom of the My Donations page. Each entry shows the card brand, the last four digits, and the expiry date. You can add a new card or remove an existing one at any time.

Add a payment method

  1. Sign in to app.lfx.dev.
  2. Select Crowdfunding → My Donations from the left navigation sidebar.
  3. Scroll to the Payment Methods section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Select Add Payment Method.
  5. Enter your card number, expiry date, and CVC (the 3-digit security code on the back of the card) in the dialog that appears.
  6. Confirm to save the card.

The new card appears in your payment methods list and can be used for future donations.

Delete a payment method

Before deleting: If you delete a card that is linked to an active recurring donation, that donation will fail on the next billing cycle because there is no longer a valid payment method to charge. To avoid a missed charge, cancel the recurring donation before removing the card — see Manage Recurring Donations.

  1. Sign in to app.lfx.dev.
  2. Select Crowdfunding → My Donations from the left navigation sidebar.
  3. Scroll to the Payment Methods section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Select Delete next to the card you want to remove.
  5. Confirm the deletion.

The card is removed from your account.

Frequently asked

Will deleting a payment method cancel my recurring donations? No. Deleting a card does not automatically cancel any recurring donations linked to it. Those donations will fail on the next billing cycle because there is no valid payment method to charge. To stop future charges, cancel the recurring donation before removing the card — see Manage Recurring Donations.

Can I add the same card again after deleting it? Yes. You can re-add any card at any time by selecting Add Payment Method and entering the card details again.
